Well, Eliot Spitzer has resigned, and the pretty young thing he hired is probably on her way to some fortune, to go along with her unintended "celebrity".
I say unintended, because I feel certain this is NOT the way she'd like to be remembered. She worried we'd see her as a "monster", when I think none of us feel that way. She's not a monster, but a young, damaged(hurt, insecure) girl with few resources...
In decades past, to be CELEBRATED, you had to have ACHIEVED something. Nowadays, you are a bona-fide celebrity if you come from a wealthy family,and have a sex-tape that suddenly becomes public(see also:Paris Hilton), and/or you've dated a famous person(see also anyone seen with George Clooney, Charlie Sheen, Colin Farrell, etc., etc..), and/or you've been a prostitute/madam(see Heidi Fleiss, etc..) to the wealthy and/or famous(see Charlie Sheen again). I hope Ms. Dupre' manages to get some of her music out there, and makes a go of her real career aspirations....
And I think we should not judge her being a call girl(her tiny studio, in New York City's very ritzy Chelsea apartment building, runs $3500.00 A MONTH--just to open the door to it!).Her boyfriend had just broken up with her, and abandoned her, with the rent owed.And, as we've all heard via the media , she's abused drugs, been from a broken home, etc...So who knows? Maybe Ms. Dupre'(who is quite gorgeous, and according to her friends "has a big heart") can turn this around.
