TAGGED BY THORNE, OF THE BLOG, THORNE'S WORLD.

TAGGED BY THORNE, OF THE BLOG, THORNE'S WORLD.
I am supposed to list seven things most people do not know about me.
I think I probably covered a lot of this, in my "25 Random Things About Me" post, at this blog, Lisa Allender Writes, back in Feburary of this year(2009).
But I'll do a stream-of-consciousness thing here, and just write whatever pops into my head:
1) I would still love to have a baby brother, or older brother. It may be why I've always had so many male friends become life-long friends. I'm very fortunate in that regard.
2) I had a brief fling with a very famous rock star.(Hint: he was hugely popular in the 1980's, and early 1990's.)
3) I was Non-Theist, or A-theist, for over 17 years, and by a series of things I could not explain(all good!) I found myself as of late 2003/early 2004, on a spiritual quest--which I'm still on. I call myself a Catholic-Christian by culture, and a spiritual seeker.
4) How I define my bisexuality:
In 1989, I said "I love vanilla ice cream, but sometimes, I want strawberry."
By 1992, I defined it as:
"I fall in love with the person, not the gender."
5) I would like to adopt a child, perhaps an older child who is labeled "unadoptable". I never had that burning desire to birth a child, but believe I may have some good to offer a child who has no home/parent.
6)I hate mayonnaise. It's okay mixed into a potato salad(sometimes) but I would NEVER eat it on a sandwich. Yuck!
7)I think actors who perform onstage are never given enough credit. It's exhilirating--and exhausting-- work, making every time you perform, "fresh", and seemingly "new".

Look for a special post coming up this week, at Lisa Allender Writes, on why I love my Pax Christi(Peace Christ) chapter (reprinted, with a few additions, from my most recent post at my blog,"Practice What You Peace").

Peace, kids.

Very cool, Lisa! I'm so glad you played. I always like to learn a bit more about my favorite writers. I like the way you describe your bisexuality, but you didn't give enough clues for your famous fling. More, please... *wink
Peace!

Thorne--"...favorite writers." THANK YOU, Thorne.
Seems for so many women, bisexuality has become almost a "rite of passage", it seems almost frivolous---which sometimes makes me resentful---because it was so difficult to "come out", way back when. I hope the Gen-y'ers, and Gen-I'ers( Gen-I'ers: my term for the "Internet-Generation", which is anyone currently under age 21)appreciate the fighting all our predecessors had to do(and are still doing) to gain equal rights!!
Okay, let's see, what clue may I give you, that won't entirely give it away? He was on a tour in the USA, during 1990, and had been injured earlier that year.I know you may want more, more, more, but these are enough clues!

Great to learn more about you. I will admit that I am also intrigued about the identity of your fling. You have led such a fascinating life!

"I fall in love with the person, not the gender." - that is so beautiful

Just out of interest i believe the Rattle & Hum tour of 1990 is when Bono fell off stage and did his arm in...

Seriously though, you've got me wondering about the rock star right enough...

I came over here via Collin's blog. I've been reading your comments there for so long that I wanted to come over and say 'hi.' I also visited your website - you're a multifaceted person. I love your comment here about falling in love with the person, not the gender. That's a beautiful statement, and you illustrate it well with the ice cream analogy. It speaks to a creative, open spirit.

Betmo--I'm trying to come up with another clue for you, um, let's see, he has a son, but no wife.
Selma--Thank you, sweetie. I'm not sure my life is any more "fascinating" than others; everyone has amazing secrets. Everyone.
Pixies--Re: "...the person, not the gender." That's truly how I feel.
It's not Bono, so you may rule him out.
Christine--Hi there! Why, thank you.
That's me, all ice cream and open spirit!Ha!

Lisa, I know who it was! I know who it was!
I could say VERY easily!!! I could write it HERE....but, I wont!

I will give the 7 a try and post tomorrow...Thanks for thinking of me.

Cuz Jayne--Aw, now don't spoil the fun! ;)
There is actually a huge clue-- which no one seems to have deciphered--in the last line of my response to Thorne's comment.
