Fund for young boy.

Awhile back, a sweet young boy was blinded in one eye as a result of thuggish teens throwing bleach-filled balloons at children.
I want to start a fund for this young man. Currently, I'm contacing 11-Alive News to see how to get this accomplished.
I especially want to be sure he not only has medical-care-expenses covered, but a few pairs of super-cool shades (designer sunglasses) to wear this summer and when he returns to school in the fall, too.
Absolutely senseless violence(as violence always is).
We can all make a difference for this young man. Show him the rest of us out here are appalled by these criminals, and hurting in our hearts, for him.
Details, soon.

Remember to check out my other blog, "Practice What You Peace"; see link to the right of this column, and then, just scroll down.
Peace, kids.

I think this a great idea, Lisa. Have you contacted the family about your plan?

I'm very saddened and slightly ashamed to have to be British right now, because the official World Cup song (football, yawn) has the repeated refrain "come and have a go if you think you're hard enough"

The makers, who include Simon (X Factor) Cowell, have defended this as light-hearted and not to be taken seriously, but i for one am not happy to have my country represented by an incitement to return to the days of football violence, nor for this "laddish" behaviour to be encouraged.

So yes, anything that supports the opposition of violence is a good thing

Pixies--Thank you....
I think you Brits are alright; I'm sure this (refrain) is a breezy way of saying you all are "tough" out there...
